BTS did their Permission to Dance tour in North America with 4 shows at the Sofi Stadium on dates: 11/27, 11/28, 12/1 and 12/2/2021 and all 4 shows were completed sold out. Tickets were pretty much sold out before it was even opened to the general public. Since this was the first tour/concert for BTS in about 2 years due to the pandemic, thousands of Amrys travelled from near and far to get a glimpse of the 7 amazingly talented men: V, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, J-Hope and Jin.
BTS came hard on stage with smoke, fireworks and all. I can still remember the butterflies as the introduction opening VCR was playing. All that was going through my head was, I miss this, and I can’t believe that I am back. Below is the track list of the concert.

We unfortunately did not get any encores but that was okay. Since show as different and I can honestly say that even though we didn’t get any encores or special appearances, I was truly satisfied with the show that we were provided. Since it was the first show for not only the fans but for BTS, I felt like this one was more personal. If you have been to other BTS concerts, they usually do group songs, sub units and solos. This concert was different. There weren’t any solos or sub units, it was just BTS. There also weren’t many intermissions or breaks for the boys but they never once let the fans feel their tiredness from performing back-to-back.
As the boys were on stage, you can see it in their eyes and hear it in their voice that this is what they were meant to do. This is what they live for and the stage for them was home. You can feel their energy flowing through each song and through each dance move. BTS are more than just kpop idols, they are artists.
Favorite Performance:
Blue & Grey – This was a song that was not expecting to hear. This song itself is so beautiful but the live performance was beyond words.
Now don’t get me wrong, all of their performances were freaking amazing but this one stood out the most to me. I feel like it was more personal as you can hear it in their voice as they sang the lyrics. It was pouring out from their heart and soul.
Performances that made me cry (not even kidding, I cried LOL):
Life Goes On – How can you not cry to this song? LOL…when the pandemic hit, everyone was kind of stuck as the “normal” that we knew was gone and we had to adjust to the new way of life. This song helped me through that process.
I need you – If you were a fan of BTS from debut, you will know how much this song means to everyone. During this performance, Suga did not perform his part, but took off his earphones and listened to the fans sing it for him. It was so moving.
Save me – This is my favorite BTS Song. There is something different when you listen to your favorite song to seeing it perform live. As many times as I have heard this song and I’ve seen it performed lived, I will never get tired of it. Til this day, this song still makes my heart flutter. It was a healing song for me and I am thankful that I got a chance to see it perform live again.
Bullet proof the eternal – Alright, now let’s keep all of this 100%...this performance made everyone cry LOL. This was the first time they were able to perform this song in front of their fans (you guys remembered when Jimin cried during this performance during their online concert). It was during this performance that made me appreciate life so much more if that makes any sense? Our lives have completely changed due to everything that is happening around in the world and this performance made me realize that time doesn’t wait for anyone. The good and the bad comes to each and every one of us but as long as we have good people in our lives, we can continue to walk through it all.
This was one concert for the books. The entire atmosphere was different during this show and presentation was different. This wasn’t something that BTS needed but this was something that the fans needed also. This was like finding the “piece of normal” in the new life that we are living. This was what was needed during the pandemic. I can’t speak about how everyone else feels, but to me this was not just a show but also a healing process. Being on quarantine and on lock down with not being able to work shows or see shows, this was healing for me. This gave me strength an energy to keep going on. This was almost like a sign saying that everything is going to be okay and just hold on a little bit longer. So with that, I end this blog. I want to say a big thank you to my friend Stacey for coming with me and being moral support LOL…and a huge thank you to all the fans, workers, staffs, and everyone who took part in making this concert possible. And finally, a big thank you to BTS. Thank you guys for being you.
